Education and Classroom Experience

The Archives is aimed at a global audience who are engaged with and passionate about social activism, human rights and questions of heritage. We’ve started discussing potential audience education and engagement campaigns with partners who have expressed an interest in using final film as a programmatic element to complement their existing and new campaigns e.g., cultural/educational programs aimed at grandparent/grandchildren or educational programs around the Holocaust, antisemitism, and hate. We are also exploring the development of partner campaigns that include genealogical tracing, museum visitations, and/or the identification and preservation of family historical material. Additionally, we are partnering with Johns Hopkins University through a new pilot program where undergraduate and graduate students will engage with practice-based filmmaking and learn how to use the archive to discover truth-seeking in the post-truth era.
